View of the Penn-Lincoln Parkway East from the Bates Street Interchange.

Notes:
The Penn-Lincoln Parkway East was built by the PA department of transportation to ease the traffic burden coming into the city of Pittsburgh. It was a twenty mile, limited access highway that connected with the Pennsylvania Turnpike and provided a direct connection to the Allegheny Municipal Airport.
